... just the other side of the Dartford crossing by a buddy of mine.

Gorgeous condition! If it's someone in the club I hope they got whatever it was sorted out! I assume that's the owner in the background?

Possibly looks like John Palmers old 260Z that was worked on by Fourways?

Thats Tony's, collected yesterday from Iain at Passion Engineering who has done a load of work to it.
Hope nothing serious as it was running beautifully

Not sure how often Tony gets on here but it seems the Alternator packed up on the drive home.

Shame after all the work the engine has had being tuned properly.

I did wonder if it was an electrical issue given the battery cover was up.

Looks like a stunning car!

It is a stunning car, i'm trying to get Iain at Passion Engineering to sign up here. He really is an incredible engineer and was the only one out of a few that tried to get this car spot on.
He is building my 1jz car at the moment and has also done a lot of work on Marks orange car.
Never an unhappy customer and as he knows his Z's he is a great expert for people struggling with issues down south or even just a service or look over.

I was wondering why he was checking his screen wash level until you commented and I realized it was a right hooker! :jester:

+1 for Iain, my car will be going back to him shortly for the next stages of my cars development, his attention to detail is particularly good. Glad to hear more Z's are making their way to him. You'll have to get him on here Russell!

Is he familiar with the ins and outs of the s13/14 gearbox swap?

He fabricated all the mounts for my 1JZ so I would absolutely say so.

Mark’s sending his in for that swap soon as well.

Yep, my old car that I passed on to Tony.

I loved this car and still regret selling it. It was just the right balance between modified and standard with all the right parts. Drove and handled superb for a road car. Tony had a running issues shortly after I sold the car which disappeared after I replace the gearbox under warranty. It then run perfectly for a while until it started playing up again. IMO it was all related to a problem inside the distributor. I believe they converted to electronic pickup which would have fixed this issue. I think Ian has done a few other things to the car to improve further.

No doubt Tony will bring the car into the workshop soon so I'll try and sort out an alternator.

Would I've to know, what mods did it have Johny!?

From the photo I can only see the PCV / breather to intake manifold delete and some lovely alloys / shiny strut brace.

From what I was told about it last night it sounded a bit of a weapon, would be great if he joined on here and posted up a project thread with details!

Sneaky pic from when it was in the workshop. New distributer as there were too many problems with the old one and converted to electronic ignition.

Hopefully Iain will also join soon so he can explain everything he did to it.

Including machining this awesome mount so an AFR gauge would look perfectly at home in the space the clock used to occupy. Even used the original brackets as it replicated the external dimensions of the clock.
