Bought them from Japan same chap that sold me my Watanabe wheelsPlease tell me you've done thousands of miles in this now and have loved every one of them?
Headlight covers are nice, where did you get those? I'd thought of running these but black instead of chrome.
Were they private sales or does he deal in parts? I'm looking for the best place to get some Watanabe wheels from.Bought them from Japan same chap that sold me my Watanabe wheels
Could you tell me, do you think you could run the Watanabes with thinner spacers than 5mm? Reason being I would like watanabe wheels, if I don't flare in 16x8 size which are ET0, if I also have to add a 5mm spacer that makes it ET-5 which is 15mm further out than my current wheels are, not sure I can get way with that.
Well, they would still protrude from the arches the same amount as the 16's, plus I can't rin 15's with my brakes. The 5mm spacer is to get the wheels to clear my brakes.why not get a 15x8 et0 which seem to fit fine?

They wouldn't protrude much at ET0, but when you add in a 5mm spacer its starting to push things out a but farther than may look good. I am running the same brakes as Dave, hence my question to him. Both my front and rear brakes are large so I can't see many 15's fitting over them, and beside I want to keep it 16" anyway. The problem with the wats is spokes touch the caliper which is why they need spaced out slightly.I've not seen a car on 15x8 where the wheel protrudes, not with et0. what about spacing the brakes back? what brakes are they where they don't clear?

205 is no option. I think I can run 0 offset how she is at the moment as that what mine are when I run the 10mm spacer and I've had no problems any time that been on. However with 0 offset wheels plus the 5mm spacer needed to clear the brakes its getting too far.8" wheels with 0et do protrude. There are 2 option if you run this size of wheel. The common option is to run narrow 205 tyres so the tread part is narrower than the rim and so just clears the arches. The second option is a high ride height so the tyre never gets near the arch and so clears.

Sorry for messing up your thread Dave
