I meet a mk1 e type jaguar owner at a car show in Selkirk, we got talking about z'ds and he informed me he owned a samuri about 20 years ago and sold it for £600 to a friend who owned a scrap metal dealership on the understanding he would restored the car. A few months after he sold the car he met up with his friend and asked what was happening with the restoration to be told the car was crushed. He did not have any more information or details for which one this was, but was upset that his friend didn't offer the car back to him for restoration, but perhaps it was worth more as parts. So in conclusion one of your samuri's was crushed 20 years ago in lowland Scotland.

The Wife & I enjoyed this last year and a great turnout of old Zeds as well. The racing is a bonus but the downside it the s****y dirt track on the infield leading to the display areas. Given the amount of valuable classics in attendance every year, it is a disgrace.

Was thinking of doing this on the Saturday and Japfest at Silverstone on the Sunday but still undecided.

Put me down for the Saturday for now please and I will decide on the Sunday soon. Of course it is all weather permitting!!!

According to the news and pics in the motorsport mags the planned improvements (including infield roads) will be finished before the 'Gathering'.

I will be there - love it.

Hi Farmer,

Be good to see you there again, and incase you missed it, there was an article in MCN a few weeks ago about the investment that is going into the curcuit now that MSV have taken over the running of it

Saturday and Sunday and maybe a room at Crossroads as long as it isn't same broom cupboard they gave me last time

Thought the receptionist was having a joke when she said it was tiny (boom boom) but seems they don't do irony (or sarcasm) in East Midlands :D

Sarcasm was born in the East Midlands!
