I've been to this before with a Z. It's only just 'down the road' for me, turn up and park.

Unknowing to me I parked behind Trace Albrighton in his Lancia Integrale (Trace used to have a 260 2+2). I also met-up with Dan and his Dad - Dan of white 240/LS3 car. His Dad was in a massive Chrysler US car (that's his business).

Fantastic day again, great variety and a huge turnout (650 cars?).

JK, sorry mate but I need to post a couple of pics of your old Sam.

Far from it. I was just showing off the Webers etc. full credit to JK!

The Z got a lot of attention (not from the AA or RAC), I also forgot to mention Tim Burns who is a very local member and has owned his 240Z for about 30 years. He came along but not in his car (it's been off the road for a while).

Thanks Rob, it's very strange seeing it somewhere I haven't taken it.

I told you about those carbs, it's set up so well now. Enjoy it mate, I certainly did :driving:

Cheers

I just knew someone would comment about the toilets!

I am sorry because I know JK will be sorry to see this car in someone else's hands.

I have a few jobs lined up and I've already replaced the strut-top rose-joints - no rubber, as I said previously it's quite sporty!

Rob, did the council suspend the parking restrictions & pavement for the day?
Normally double yellow lines means no parking, and pavements are for people not cars.

I felt the same way when I saw my old track car in France or Malta. It also appeared on snow with in-car footage on Motors TV during the Historic Monte!

Yes those carbs do seem to be set-up well - your second man did a good job. It ticks over very well and stops immediately when you switch it off too - a novelty for me. I have to stall my blue car and did the same with my old car.

So Jon, do you think I would do that if I wasn't instructed to? The town centre is 'closed off' and over-run with hundreds (600+) of cars.

Just checking Rob
parking on the pavement is one of my pet peeves.

And mine but in many places where parking is allowed down both sides of the road, there is no realistic alternative. My Dad had problems with his mobility scooter - but they are another problem on the pavements!

Hi Rob, have you any pics of your rose joint top mounts? I'm looking at something at the minute so it'll be good to know what you mean? Or how its together.
