Door mouldings (stainless steel plus rubber strip) are still available new via our Nissan contacts in the UK...
Just phone up a Nissan dealer and they'll source some?
Just had a discussion with my USA guy and they can't currently get any of the mouldings. He also clarified the difference on the 70-72 - they have a chrome end whereas all ours (and their late version) are black plastic. Fit will be the same.
Just change the rubber
Rubber available from Woolies just need to cut the wire clips holding it to the chrome trim
are you actually pleased with the car? does it run well? Body OK? What you were expecting?
Excellent!
Interested to know how deep the dvla want to dig regarding the modifications when it comes to registering. Do they want evidence, photo or otherwise of any mods
I can't really see them having the man power or technical resources/appetite to troll through and catalog thousands if not millions of images.
The bigger issue is telling them no mods, then having an accident and an insurance valuation bod spotting the discretely hidden twin turbo LS7 , Tremec gearbox and Ford 9 ich
What size wheels and tyres are those Jay ?
Excellent!

Only being nosy as I’ll be in a similar situation in a couple of years

If you don’t mind, can I ask how much it cost to import from the States, and how much you paid for the car ?
I’m just starting my search and that is a very nice car
Dave
Jay, you did know you could have driven it to the MoT station I hope!
Edit: as long as it was insured ...
Ah, the delights of the private garage, stacked to the rafters, quite literally in this case, with c**p..... i mean stuff!!
Nice car by the way
The r1200gs..... one of the few things i've bought new, that bmw bought back due to 3 gearboxes, leaking final drives and ****** servo brakes.
