Adjustable top mounts

Been looking at KMAC Datsun 240Z/260Z/280Z Front or Rear Camber Caster Stage 3 top mounts
Do they replace the o/e rubber top mount entirely ?
ie bolt in place on top of the strut ?
Anyone got a pic of them, or the underside to show fitting ?

I haven't got any yet, but they look good. I believe they do replace the standard top mount and the strut will locate directly into the KMAC top mount. I've pasted the below from their website...

FEATURES: Simply replace the existing front top strut mounts (no modifications). Reinforcing the strut towers and with the unique K-MAC patented design providing the biggest (and quickest) adjustment range of both Camber and Caster. Street/Race settings can be recorded and changed in 30 seconds – just the time taken to loosen the 3 top mount nuts. Another K-MAC Patented design feature allows this fast adjustment to be made accurately under load. Also when adjustable “coil overs” fitted the K-MAC design provides minimum stack height for maximum vehicle lowering and shock travel/absorption.

They're made to replace the rubber top mounts.

What were your measurements when you had it aligned?

Cheers, they seem to be what I am looking for unless anyone can recommend an alternative that allows for caster adjustment in situ?
Franky, I have none of the alignment figures, only that the geometry was out due to the fact my new suspension arms had been bolted on where they touched
More caster was still advised, so that's why I am trying to find something that doesn't push the wheels any more forward as the tie arms do.
Am also looking at Arizona Z bump steer spacers with built in shortened steering arms, but not sure I like them being made of alloy ? Again unless anyone knows of an alternative make ?

I have often considered, but never really explored, if changing the top mount insulator will actually lower the car sufficient that you no longer need to section the struts. How much would this K-Mac mount reduce the strut total length?

I've just 3D modelled some of these up in SolidWorks only last week, If i can get some machine time this week I will try and knock up a prototype out T6 ali to see how it fits,

How long before they go into production ?

Would have a pair as well

I took it they would come with any spacers required to keep the stock height ?

Hopefully if the prototype is ok a 4-5 weeks,

I want to test it out on my own car first to make sure they are OK before i sell any to you guys first just to be sure,

Waiting on atomman to see if he has any joy with his home brew, just so I can fit the lot in one go
After clocking up a few smiles am getting fed up of taking the car apart now lol

These are a great upgrade and mine have been fine, they are alloy but they are thick. However Apex Engineered now do a billet steel non bump steer spacer version but have a bump steer spacer version also coming out so this it what I would go with now.

Wyn, just wondering if you ever fitted them. I'm thinking about getting a pair so I can bring in the top of the strut a bit. I've got adjustable bottom arms, but at the ride height I want and the camber, I'm starting to get the tyre rubbing on the arch. I thought that bringing in the top of the strut might help with it. I also think the rubber insulator is on its way out, so it would be two birds with one stone..
Or are there any other options?
