Led dash bulbs

I'm guessing you need to disable the dimmer?

The LEDs I put in mine seem to dim ok. The other option is turn it up and leave it alone.

WRT condensation, I installed mine just after Christmas and have had no problems with condensation inside the gauges. As far as I can see, they are sealed from the bulbs anyway which is why you need to be a bit careful with the size of the glass dome on the bulbs as they are quite shallow and most LEDs won't fit.

As far as price goes, I bought the 10 I needed for about £12 which I thought was ok. Will probably get a few more for the heater control panel & side light bulbs.

Hey Farmer
Would you have an updated link to those LEDs ? I have the centre console out and want to change all the little bulbs for LEDs equivalents
Let me know please

Ive got them fitted too, I wouldn’t say they’re night and day difference but they’re good. They work off the dimmer ok. They’re also bi-directional (so not strictly an LED?) but that makes install easier.
Problems I’ve had are that they don’t fit too well inside the coloured caps set in the gauges so I’ve had to space mine back a touch. Mine came from Classic Car LEDS, so this maybe just theirs. They also work at a very low current so can give issues if fitted to alt light and the brake / handbrake warning lights. I think I must have a very small amount of current leaking across the brake reservoir float switches and it caused the led to illuminate, fixed by adding a resistor.

Whilst I have my dash out and before I put everything back in I was going to replace all my bulbs as it would be foolish to whack them back in, probably past their best. I was about to purchase a load of direct replacements (15 in total I believe) but having a quick search it looks like LEDs might be a better buy. Can anyone point me in the direction of a drop in LED replacement that requires no modifications? If I have to modify then so be it but was hoping there might be a drop in solution.

Would something like the below link be suitable?

I replaced mine with LED bulbs. However I had to reduce the length of some of them with a Dremel. They were solid plastic. The LEDs are polarity critical which means that they can't be used as replacements for all bulbs. The instrument illumination ones were ok.
