Road rally suspension set up ideas pelase

I have a friend beginning FFSA road rallying here but his suspension is too stiff giving 'road-bounce'.
We don't know what shocks he has and the only way to know is to take them apart and disable the car.

What do you run, can suggest please :

Surely he'd be better off findin out what he's got fitted already and go from there? It could be his dampers don't match giving no control?

There are some super kits out there but this guy has just struggled financially to get the car ready and homologated - I'm looking for a less-expensive option for this season giving him the time to save up for something better next year.

He'd still need to work out whats fitted? A teardown would take half a day? He could then go and get the car setup as best as possible with whats fitted?

You need to know what poundage of road springs he is currently running. I ended up with 200lbs in my car, which was capable of coping with bumpy Irish tarmac on a fast run through the lanes.

My struts were fitted with a Leda oil based system, so not the latest tech, but it was good on the hill limbs as well

I'm Running Ford Bilsteins in my Z in the original casings, and adjustable platforms with 2.25" springs.
Through trial and error I've ended up with 170lb front springs and 200lb rears.
It's relatively inexpensive to convert the struts to adjustable Platforms, weld on kits are available from demon tweeks, peter lloyd rallying or Rally Design, its then much easier to change springs and you have a better choice of
rates
