Site Mobile phone access?

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem (I'm a mobile phone dinosaur). When I try to view the clubs website on my mobile phone (iphone 5) all I can see is a white background full of sponsers name? Can't see anything to do with our site or get rid of the sponsers page... Anything I can do?
Cheers

Who is the sponsor you see?
This is what the site looks like on my iphone:

Having said that, I normally use tapatalk.

I often get the tap talk page, as you describe. I don't use tap talk as I like to see the full site. If I reopen it is often ok.

The biggest issue I have is only being able to upload 1 picture per post. If I add another picture it removes the first. It has been like this for years.

There is a bug where you get shown a tapatalk splash ad (but with just the background and you can't close it) we might be able to turn it off somewhere.

I think you've nailed it Mr Tenno, you can see what I get that I can't close in the attached Pic.

There's a tapatalk plugin for vbulletin that needs to be disabled, to stop the site having that buggy promo splash.

if the plug in is disabled would that mean that the 3 people who are on line now using tippytappy would not be able to use it

Yes the admin would have to do it. Should be possible to configure the plugin to work with tapatalk, but not give the promo banner if you choose to use the website on an iphone.
I think i read it's in the admincp somewhere.

I think we might be using a newer version of the plugin than is recommended for our install of VBulletin which could explain the issue - options are either try to downgrade the plugin, upgrade VB, or hack the current plugin to disable the splash-ad, all of which are probably messy jobs.

I had the 'opportunity' to see the problem today because I left my phone at home and used my work iPhone to view the forum (just using the standard Safari browser).

It seems to me the problem is that when you go to http://zclub.net it redirects to the TapaTalk advertising splash page. When I went direct to http://zclub.net/forum directly it worked fine.

I was going to suggest a quick fix - try turning off advertising in the TapaTalk control panel. It's a guess but it might work for the time being.

All that said, I just checked it again and either it's working now or the iPhone is being 'clever' and remembering the url I entered before (with the /forum).

How is it for everyone now?

Ok - I think I've managed to disable the splash page (we have an old version of Tapatalk where it's not in the options) and I can open the forum without getting hit by the banner.

HOWEVER - it seems like Google has cached/indexed links that include the banner (that half-page you can't close) so it's still possible to get stuck if you follow certain Google links, you can get to the pages as normal through the forum though.

Hi all
I tried to access the site for the first time in ages with my mobile phone, I understand very little of the tecky talk previously mentioned in the thread and changed no settings on my phone, but the site appears perfectly now, no adds :D. What ever you did thanks, works a treat now:thumbs:
