I'm just using the attachment option in 'Go Advanced' that lets u add upto 10pics. Works fine, but they initially show up as small thumbnails until u click them. Be nice if they showed up large.

With regards the larger images, once you've created your post and submitted it, then click on a thumbnail in your post and the image opens, click on it again and copy the web address.
Then click edit on your post and use the add image button, paste in the web address text and position the cursor next to the existing thumbnail html, if you save it and view your post now, you will see you now have a large image and the thumbnail, you can then simply delete the thumbnail html to remove it, just leaving the bigger image

A bit long winded, as you have to create the post first with thumbnails, so as to get the address to be able to then add the larger image!

Hope that makes sense

You can also add images to your gallery and then use that web address as the add image text as above

Derrick, few pics of the press tool.
It was supposed to be a quick prototype and I’ve made the male and female from the same plate. I couldn’t get the jigsaw to cut that tight a curve hence the poor shaping. I just filed the angle in after cutting and welded the male onto a backing plate. Once the plates are lined up perfectly so is the pressing. Despite the cutting innacuracies the pressed result, just using a vice came out fine.

Toopy, well impressed, Thanks. I can file metal, but PCs have me beaten!

I tried the attachment method suggested by Toopy and it seemed to work on my tablet, but then they’ve not showed up when viewed on the phone. Re-attached here...

Yes clever work there. I like the way your repairs are finished off.

This should keep you busy for a few months.

If you have the time (and the tools) - and more importantly, the ingenuity, you can accomplish many things!

Brilliant work.

I never use my phone or a tablet to view the website, prefer to use the PC

Stuff you can do on the computer on the forum, doesnt always seem to work on other devices, no idea why!

Time for an update, it’s been slow going due to lack of garage time and to be honest I spend a long time faffing on the finer details.
In the past month or so I’ve rebuilt one of the innner wings and front chassis legs, added extra internal strengthening for an upgraded ARB. I bought a 2nd hand spot welder, which has been great, but needed longer arms for the shock towers, 1 metre of copper bar sorted that out. Slow progress but great fun and very absorbing.
I’ve decided to put an RB motor in so it’s kind of changed the chassis such that I’m now stitch welding the front rails and probably the shock towers.

Cheers Derrick, I saw ur update and remembered I’d said I would try and post some ideas for doing the inner wings. It’s all do-able but slow going!

You're very talented T&B! I remember hiring one of those spot welders back in the 80s to do the sills on my MGB.They're a great tool to have access to. Good work!

All the work on the front end is now complete, chassis rails, inner wings, rad support panel all sorted. I’ve only got one pic attached here tho. Not taken any more yet.
I started the passenger floorpan and rail over Christmas which I new would be a slow job. The replacement floorpan was 65mm to wide as it doesn’t take into account a bulge in the passenger side transmission tunnel, (common to all late Uk model 260z for a non existent cat converter) this required an amount of reforming both the tunnel and the floor plate.
I also cut off the old sill to install a replacement, the inner sill turned out to be rotten too and required the lower edge to be refabbed and welded in.
I’ve attached a few pics of progress, next step will be spot weld the sill in and move onto the drivers side floor which doesn’t look too bad

Just a quick update, working towards the back of the car now, inner arches n wings etc. Just thought I’d post a quick couple of pics of the spare wheel well which I’d down had as a goner. In the end just an afternoon in the garage saw it good as new and much easier than taking it out and putting a replacement well in

Just getting started on the sunroof delete, I managed to get a roof that by the sellers own admission ‘the kids have used as a trampoline’. It looked a bit rough but was cheap so I had nothing to lose. I had the roof dipped and primed and had a few hours at it with the hammers, it’s probably within a mm or so now and will need a bit more work once in place with a skim here and there.
I’ve put the job off for ages as it seemed like a monster but so far it’s not been too bad. I cut the old roof off leaving 25 mm of spot welded edge behind then ground the spot welds and peeled the remainder off like a tin of spam, only took an hour or so.
I’m going to bond in the new roof with 3M 8115 panel adhesive which will be strong and also created a fully sealed joint which can be spot welded through as an extra measure.
