Brown cars have grown on me over the years and I look forward to creating my own one this year.

Personally I think they're a bit of an acquired taste ... I can think of a few colours I'd rather have, although last year I did bid on a brown one ... as everything else about the car was just as I wanted. In hindsight, luckily I was outbid!

Brown interiors on the other hand ... well, tan (if that is allowed) ... :yum:

Sounds interesting Johny. A long time ago my friend had a brown Ford Cortina E with a brown vinyl roof, Great days.

I like.....and if I may be so bold, I've noticed that brown-painted cars have mostly had rust-'free' bodies for some reason....maybe their owners didn't take them out so much......:D

Nah, brown cars just camouflage it better ;)

Looks more Coppery or what some would say is gold even

This is more what i would consider brown, lighting plays a huge part though and everyones screen is setup slightly different!

Hmmm, 114 was a pre '73 colour so either they got it wrong (listing and paint code) which I doubt or the car is a late '72 originally listed as a '73 model as is the custom in the States.

But as an owner, it would cause problems to seek parts under a 1973 reference.

Was thinking more like this. Or even Ferrari brown.

Not sure about toffee brown but I saw a new mini convertable in just the right shade of metallic brown for one of the zeds.

It belonged to my neighbor, very nice car, rust free, quality paint job. I found my orange 71 just before this car and could not keep both at the time. The killer part was that it sold for less than $8000 US in 2013 to a guy in S.F. bay area. Can't look back.
