GS430s are a really nice lump to pull out as well, as the ECI is right next to the engine, making the wiring a lot easier!

Tempting Tom lets see how i get on this week made a a bit of progress today and it still runs and drives, will start to remove all the unwanted wiring tomorrow i need to be careful as i may use the rev counter and speedo internals and graft into the 240z dash pods,as well as the auto box wiring needs to be kept in tact, Nick very useful the ecu being close by

Now today was the last day that the Lexus will be powered by its engine as hopefully the power plant should be powering a tin shell along 30 years older  Tom was in attendance today bright and early with a Lexus GS430 wiring diagram in tow which helped us confirm and wire in the OBD11 port, so we plugged in the diagnostic machine and had just 2 fault codes one brake light switch and the other battery power unstable now we sorted the battery power one out by connecting the relevant wire to the ecu battery monitoring pin but still need to look into the brake light switch, not overly worried about that as i removed the wiring for the brake lights anyway but there is two more smaller cables of which one went to the ecu and the other earth we think, so it was out with the cannibalized sub loom to tidy up now i was just going to label it up and put it in a box but Tom got to work sorting and untangling it and i was ready to roll it up and put it in a box but Tom had decided to lay it on a board and get me to tape it down for safe keeping plan is to remove the engine and box next week and try for size in the Z engine bay  the loom in the picture will be shortened/extended as required when install begins:D

Practical Performance Car - finally found a newsagent locally that has it. But I wouldn't get too excited looks as though the Charade has had the the V8 inserted into it's backside for the solo purpose of entertaining those that like the smell of front tyres being destroyed.

The mag is a bit thin on interest apart from a bright orange car re-engined with a BMW lump......

......and slow down Terry some of us are trying to get our first one finished !!:D
