The car is already lowered if you care to read the thread.

All been done and measured properly.

And yes the arches are just for aesthetics.

Anything else?

You need people who have done it a few times.

Have you had it on it’s wheels that you’re going to use, with whatever bushing you’re good no to use, along with what tyres you’re going to use, along with suspension that you’re going to use along with the car fully dresses(weight)? Just to set the arches? It’s be a shame to have rubbing etc.

I simply don't understand how that can possibly work. Forget about your universal add-on arches for a second. If your wheel/tyre combination sits beyond the original sheetmetal of the factory wheel arch shape, the two will make contact when the suspension is moving in bump *unless the ride height at the rear of the car is raised*.

You're going to need to have the full amount of bump as clearance between your tyre and wheel arch in a static condition. And yet you say you have lowered the car, presumably with the dampers and springs pictured up-thread?

What have you measured?

Reason: Unnecessary escalation

Hmm give the previous 121 pages of this thread, I think we're a bit late trying to de-escalate it now ;)

Anyway on with the show, more pics please, Don, we're getting to the point when the Devil is in the Detail

Franky: Yes to all......

And even jumped up and down in it on the corners with my heavy 100kg+ large **** just to check clearances!

Still got room for some.

The way the arches have been welded back together is more flared than a usual Z, as per my request.

So putting on the arch flares has little effect, apart from widening the stance of the car slightly.

I hope this helps clear things up.

Like I said many pages and years ago....

This is not my first conquest.

Some people are a little ignorant on here.

1 person mainly.

He knows who he is....

I'm definitely ignorant and learning from this thread.

Keep 'em coming Don and don't be shy - not that I can ever imagine you being a shrinking violet!! ;)

Look beyond the passion and emotion of the well meaning comments and consider the detail of the advice being offered. It is *your* car so take it or leave it, it's your call. But don't discount them because of the "tough love" presentation.

Just like you, these guys have some pretty in depth experience and particularly on these cars.

Looking forward to seeing her at a Zclub event.

Nice colour - really like Zz in that shade.

Also a good colour for hiding future potential rust too ;)

Love the colour Don  I'm thinking that's what I might use on my 280Z if/when it's gets fresh paint or a (short term)wrap.
