You missed out on a small point...what is/was the sellers asking price?

Well, we know the reserve was north of 3.5k - I guess whoever bought it made an offer/bartered a bit and it was accepted pretty quick. Maybe their target selling price was pretty reasonable. Derrick - if it was you, spill the beans - price benchmarks are always good!

Excellent Derrick - you've graduated up to the big league now - S30 owner! :p

Looking forward to this as I know you will do a superb job on that car.

Only problem is it'll make mine look scruffy!

P.S. Can I have first dibs on the SSR Mk2s if you decide to change them? ;)

Thanks guys for all your positive feed back, will do my best to make this car something to be proud of just like your cars:bow: , i new something would come along so long as i was patient wanted a UK rid car without sunroof two less things too do:) ,didn't really want all the hassle and cost trying to convert a lhd i know I've got a lot of work ahead of me, but i think after doing the 280zx the 260z looks fairly basic no offence intended just mean theres a lot of electrics on the 280zx  not present on the 260z also it got the right seats:lol: i am expecting to find a few nasties along the way but don't we all when doing these cars:bang head:

Any advice is welcome such as differences between 78 cars and earlier car before i start buying parts as Wyn has said

Derrick;)

Good luck Derrick - if you make it look half as good as your 280 it will be brilliant. So glad another 260Z has fallen into good hands. You know what I am going to say - keep it looking original - don't turn it into some kind of chav-mobile! The S30 is a beautiful car. Enjoy it.

Derek, one bit of advise when painting the car:

Get the bonnet and wings 'wrapped' with clear film so that when those girls at the 'show and shine' events have their pictures taken sprawled all over your car :p they won't spoil the paint.
