It'll be interesting to hear some details from you, considering what has been heard so far.

Well looked at it tonight the guy was very helpful even put it up on a four post lift had a good look underneath wasn't to bad chassis rails solid, inner arches solid rear outside arches solid as have been replaced with the correct panel picture to show work ,inner wings looked good too front box section solid no signs of rust, radiator fixing panel solid, scuttle panel solid wings no rust at all roof good rear slam panel good hatch is also good as is the roof :D .Took the door cards off and had a good look inside passenger door has had lower repair section fitted looks pretty good job very light surface rust and i mean very light, drivers door not so good only in the fact the bottom corners have a few small holes easy repair ,sills looked ok didn't seem like they were full of filler went over the whole car with a weak magnet didn't seem like there had been a lot of filler used anywhere also the bonnet looks good and the front lower valence :) had a good look inside the rear quarter panels very light surface rust but not a lot what you would expect father standing 25 years the seller the put a battery jump pack on the car and after about 2 mins it started up sounded ok

Bad points

floor has a patch welded to the passenger side weld looks ok but they have cut a hole in the floor and just stuck a patch over the hole from the inside leaving a rough edge underneath needs replacing imo drivers side seemed fairly good but think i would replace that if it was mine, also couple of small holes in the bulkhead again nothing to major, as pointed out before the rear end is weird with one corner being different to the other. I pointed this out to the seller and he showed me pics of the repair not the best bit of fabrication he admitted:eek:
but it is solid with no rust but would have to be done properly couple of small holes on one side where bonnet hinges needs brake master cylinder or rebuild.
few parts missing but not a lot

all in all think this car could and would be a good project for someone with the right amount of
patients, skills, and help from other club members :lol::lol: and money

So who's art b ? has he bought it :roll eyes:
Derrick :)

Well done Derrick, so when the buyer posts up on here we'll be in an informed position to tell him/her where the bad bits are. ;)

I too think it may be you whose bought it, if so we should be in for a top-class resto.

Excellent feedback Derrick. That's what we need for this kind of discussion thread!

So, overall, it looks to be a decent project, once a bit of sorting out has been done to the less well-executed bits. At least floors are easily available, as are lower rear corners and the rear valance.

Plus it has super cool, rare wheels. :D
