Could someone please help? Are the weld lines and seam sealant under the sill standard and how it should be? Pic is taken from by the rear wheel looking forward. Looking to buy this car but it's the most I have ever spent on a car and want it to be as good as it looks! Many thanks in advance gentlemen.

The bolt is from the Safety Devices cage in there I think.

Removed.

I hope this is "the one", and I can join you guys at Japfest :)

No looks like its had floors welded in

I think I can see some spot welds on the lip but the seam sealer looks like an after thought

That's not what I wanted to hear, but at the same time, its something I needed to know. Hige thanks for posting up.

I thought the safety devices cage has mounts/feet that are welded in, in that position then the cage is bolted to the mounts. Thats how the one I've ordered is I think.

Madda, have you got any more pictures?

Most cars will have been welded but it's how good that matters. If the SD cage bolts in then it must be an early one - but where are the other bolts?

Bear in mind that if you post other pictures we will find things wrong with the car but should be able to help you evaluate it. You also need to say how much you are considering paying - that has a big impact on whether it's worth buying or not.

I dont see anything in your picture that is correct for a 240Z. If fact to me it looks a ****ing mess.
Sorry... but you did ask for comments.
Here are some pics of my car in that area. Its not perfect and you can see it has been repaired.
But it has been repaired with the correct sill closure /dogleg panel . It is plug welded and you can see where the plugs are. And towards the bottom of the arch return you can see the welded join.
That will all be smoothed out when it goes to the bodyshop this week.
The bolt you can see is a seatbelt harness mounting plate with the eye bolt in place.
Hope this helps...

Thanks buddy, it is the worst pic of the car. Your comments are appreciated and too the point is good when I want to hand over a lot of cash for this example.
