Its a great idea to have improved braking and still be able to run 14 inch wheels.most aftermarket brake conversion you have to run 15 or 16 inch wheels.

Sorry Jason; you've probably covered this already - do you need a custom adapter to mount the AP caliper on the Z lugs?

its been a while.

family/house restoration/work all seem to be doing their best to get in the way. Having to have it painted again was painful, it meant going away for what ended up being nearly 2 years. add that to the house move and last extended paint job and its 5 years away from me.

I know you're all wondering how I stay so 'chipper' given that the first time I bought a ringer, then have had to have the car painted twice!

Steadily collecting parts though, its allowed me to know what I'd like also.

Not much to report.

Back from paint(again).

Filled full of wax

Note the JZAOA gun lance. Reaches all the places your wife dreams about.

It was running out of every hole(Naval memories)

sound deadening nearly done. Bit of a pain. Not the most fun i've ever had with Bitumen and a heat gun. Just about managed to show all the original curves/pressings.

Hammer was just to hit my thumb incase I had too much fun doing it.

Easy to do bits added, just to clear space and make me feel better or get them out of the way finally.

Need to add these at some point. Thanks to the man in the high castle for the templates.

suspension legs are built, bits powder coated.

I always said i'd like the car done by the time i'm 40, i'd like it done still while i'm 40, just maybe not by the big day.

Even managed to blow the dust off a bike also.

Next jobs are to do the boot floor with sound deadening. Aiming to do it with one piece in one go. Aim high. Go low.

Then its wood dolly its sat on, which was to be used for one month to push it to my old village garage will be burnt with full military honors. Might even give it one of my old medals.

Rolling soon. Ish.

Looking good franky. Believe it or not, this is the enjoyable bit although it doesn't seem like it at times. It's all downhill from here on in (in a nice way)!

What is the story on the first car - is there a thread somewhere I can read from years ago?
