My 1982 280zx still has a set of Denovo run flats fitted to the original wheels. The size of the tyres are 200/65/HR370. As you will realise, for safety, these probably ought to be consigned to the Dunlop museum!! Can anyone advise on a modern equilivant or best option. I would like to retain the original wheels as they are in excellent condition.
Thanks in anticipation.

The Wheel is unique to the Denovo tyre. No conventional tyre will fit it.
the tyre is almost certainly unsafe for road use after 20 years. No matter how good it looks.
You will need some replacement wheels and tyres.
The denovo style was the same as the 260Z and early 280ZX but at 5.5" wide it really is a bit narrow. Later 280ZXs had a 6" x 14" Iron cross style which suit the car IMO. however finding a choice of tyres in the correct profile is becoming harder in 14" size.
IMO a 15" or 16" wheel would be a more sensible option. There will be more tyre choice at competitive prices.
Whatever you choose will leave you with a slight problem re spare wheel.
UK cars without the Denovo option carried a full size spare. Other markets had a compact "Space Saver" wheel that fitted in the RHS rear arch space.
If you want/need one of these then I have one available. Others will probably suggest a can of tye mousse as a spare. Great for a smalll puncture in the tread but no good at all in case of a side wall puncture or blowout..

All IMHO of course.

Thanks for the info. You have confirmed what I thought to be the case. It will be a shame to lose the original wheels as they are in mint condition.
Once again thanks for your help.

In conversation with johnnymd (John Palmer) yesterday he told me that he has a set of original 260Z wheels (the same pattern as your Denlocs) that he wants to get rid of...PM him!
