Dale 'Two-Zeds'...

..........well almost.

Today, I put a deposit down on a lovely '05 Azure 350Z, so I'm soon to be part of a two Zed family! :D

Once the country reopens after the bank holiday, I'll get everything finalised, collect it and give a proper review after I've had some decent time in it.

It's only got £24k on the clock, and the only bad issue I am disappointed about is the stone chips on the bumper and bonnet. I'll probably wait unitl I'm back from Japfest to sort it out, but it seems that's quite common with the thin paint?

Beautiful Dale, congrats. I like the colour combo you've gone for, now you'll be known as two blue cars Dale too.

You're going to have to photoshop yourself another sig with room for the new Z.

Well done Dale, a man after my own heart. I hope you enjoy it but don't forget the 260, it's still the best.

I have to admit that was a big deciding factor in chosing the Azure, but it's probably my favourite colour of the 350 anyway. :)

Lovely motor Dale. Always wanted a 350z but
Just couldn't afford the 1600 euro yearly tax over here.
Well wear.

nice buy !!!!!!!! regarding the thin paint ,that is how it should be as if the paint is thicker it would chip more and be deeper and look worse, most modern cars have certain thickness of paint because of this.i have seen a volvo that had been painted 3 times and it left craters when it got chipped and the reason i know it had been paint 3 times is because when we rub it down ,we counted the rings just like a tree.some car makers use a plastizer to soften the paint for bumpers so that stones bounce off in theory.

Nice one Dale. It's an easy decision - you'll always take the 260!!!

I love my 350, but it's not a patch on my 240. I always take my 240 to zeddy meets (unless it's in the body shop-ha ha!)

I fight Z31 V Z32

You fight S30 V Z33..

Is it really that easy a choice?

To be fair, you are lucky to have an S in the condition you got, I thought you might have had a K10/11 to keeps funds spare for the S30

Good choice Dale ;-)
Regarding the stonechips, I have just had my front bumper off after 60,000 miles and had a respray, fitted clear reflectors and a new mesh grille. £250 so not too bad I thought!

Good choice of colour Dale, mine always looked stunning.

S30 - what a TRUE classic! We have our 350s and 370s but the old one makes us smile more!!!!!!

People who only buy a modern Z will never experience the best - but they are still great cars.

Rob, don't rub it in! I have always wanted a 240Z and thought I had got one when the quality manager of one of my customers emigrated to Australia. Unfortunately he decided to ship it out there and keep it!! :( I am looking for a project if I can find one as I can make any parts that may need replacing at work.

Well I picked up last Tuesday, and have to say, I seem to be enjoying more and more every time I drive it. So much so, I haven't even started to figure out how to use all it's gadgetry, I've just been driving it.

The power is great, and the pull in higher gears is fabulous. It doesn't seem to like driving in low gears in and around traffic though, but maybe that's my driving

A couple of observations; it's a good job it's got aircon, coz the wind noise with the window open is just insane! The car is fast, but only just faster than the fuel gauge needle! There's only one sticker in the boot, and it's instructions on how to fit 'two' sets of golf clubs! Er, ok, thanks.

So far? Yes, I love it.

Oh, and how about this for freaky. As I was filing away some of the paperwork with the rest, I noticed that I purchased the 260z exactly five years earlier, to the day, to that of the 350!

Car and Bike magic in Suderland are great at paint matches on the azure if you get stonechip issues. Its not an easy colour to match.

The clutch takes a little getting used to. An uprated clutch and flywheel help.

If its hot I just drop the roof. :p

Congrats though, they are great cars. :driving:
