My TVR Chimaera 4.0 had the Rover lump and it was a lovely engine (as was the whole car).

I'd have another tomorrow if I had the space.

I have. TVR did, much much improved but still went on to develop their own IL6

The TVR engine produced substantially more power the one used in the Rover.

I don't think anyone can seriously compare the Rover lump with TVR's in-house straight six. Theres nothing to compare apart from the fact they're both engines.
