Is the 260Z steering wheel special wood as well as the 240Z wheel?

Hi all,

Tried to search but couldn't find much so apologies if I've missed a topic.

I've been looking at refurb guides but they're all for the 240z wheel. My 260Z wheel has leather/vinyl round it and I've never seen a 260Z wheel with a wood finish. If it's not the same wood/resin finish I need a new plan. (suggestions welcome!)

Does anyone know if it's the same? I'll be a bit gutted if it isn't, was really looking forward to refurbishing it.

Many thanks
Andy

The 260Z steering wheel grip is hard rubber, which is different from the simulated wood on a 240Z wheel. Frost seem to have a repair kit for this: https://www.frost.co.uk/eastwood-mas...-standard.html

Ah brilliant. Thank you.

Bit of a shame but glad there's a refurb option for the original wheel.

Have you done this yourself? Any tips if so?

Hi Andy.

I wonder if you might like to present yourself and your car here please :

There are kits available to recover 260Z wheels.
