best to take the paint code and try your local paint factors.

Thanks for reply Rich. I have the body colour as 115. Is the engine colour listed anywhere. Obviously I'm looking for a vht paint and have seen the paint advertised in the states. I was hoping i could get a close match this side of the pond.

are you talking about the engine bay or block, if the block then I would say its been custom painted and most likely using the blue vht paint that you can by off the shelf.
If bay then it will be 115 as the body.

I just used aerosol enamel a Ral blue not sure which one but can check tomorrow ,not exact but near enough for me.I would not bother with VHT paint as you often need to cure it.

To open this again, seeing as how paint won't be shipped from the USA, where to locate an easy to paint on Nissan blue block paint over here please ?
This for a club member struggling in Spain - thanks.

I was under the impression some suppliers did a "ground" shipping option on a boat, no?

Engine Paint

Ps. Found this ...

http://community.ratsun.net/topic/38524-block-paint/

Any paint store can mix up the Datsun blue.

Datsun engine turquois in Dupont mix guide mix size:
* 806J HS BLACK 177.2
* 801J HS WHITE 290.0
* 828J HS FAST BLUE 373.8
* 830J HS FAST GREEN 444.4
* 702OG BINDER 844.0
* 7030G BALANCER 960.4

There is also a Nissan engine blue which is a darker blue

Edit: this looks like an option too ...

Unless one is completing a restoration which is aiming for 100% stock ( so hub caps, mirrors, stock rubber pipes etc)_, I don't see why having the "exact" blue shade on the block matters ? All IMHO..
