In my post Z life, I've bought a plaything in the shape of a 2005 Fiesta ST

A 2 litre in a Fiesta is a real hoot, for around £2k they're VFM, and never having had a Ford before I was surprised at the good build quality. Plus you have the novelty off going into a motor factors and they have the bits in stock !!

And if you want to get a bit of weekend fun out of it, you can do a few Targa rallies in it

Yes very big over here at the minute, the weapon of choice is the MX5, to the point where there aren't any cheap one left (i.e. Under £3k). Charging down farm lanes or timber yards and the like is great fun. I got the Fiesta as my daughter is also using it in Forward Only Autotests, plus it comes with 150hp as std.

My wife used to have one of those, it was a proper little rocket

Back on topic, ever thought about something like an Alfa Romeo Brera 3.2 V6 Prodrive. Relatively cheap, 268 BHP, and limited numbers so may even hold its value..?

I've never had an Alfa but love the thought of owning one. Just imagine the excitement of sitting in your own Alfa Romeo every morning, putting the key in the ignition, and wondering if it will start or not.

370z?
We bought a 3 year old Nismo mode recently and absolutely love it. Performance is enough to put a grin on my face, itís pretty well equipped inside, and comfy enough to do long journeys. Even got 30mpg out of it in a 450 mile round trip to a wedding in Wales this weekend

Any thoughts / ideas would be welcome...

Thanks,

Given it lives on the streets of London, how about a London GoKart...

Hi,

I did look at these but was surprised how slow they are - slower even than my 2003 Focus!

Thanks everyone for your ideas,

It is now between a 350Z / 370Z or a 3.0 Z4 coupe.

Cheers.

350/370 don’t hold their value compared to the Z 4
