Sadly its a problem brought on by senility.
Short term memory goes to pieces and distant memories appear in a random fashion..

There must be a cure, a pill to pop : drop in to your local pharmacie if you can remember his name

When was the last track tyre comparison made, motorcycle magazines do them quite often.

The thing about control tyres is that it only helps work out what is the best for them out of the permitted range, not an accurate test against others. Also depends on what sizes are possible in that given make.

For a properly accurate and not subjective test we'd have to find a common size in every make and do a single test from there?

I believe that all we're looking for here is a a 'guide', rather a list of available track-day tyres for wheels of 14, 15, 16 and maybe 17".

From that list, individuals can look at their size needs and go compare to others via test sites and asking for experiences of similar tyres here etc

Frankly
If you read my post
The time attack cars (in 2015) were allowed any tyre, Kumho, Toyo, Avon, Yokohama you name it. From 2016 we were only permitted the Trofeo as control tyres, and the cars are continually smashing the 2015 lap records set on those tyres, yes some of the cars are evolving but some are developed as far as they can go and are restricted by class rules that's as close a comparison as you're going to get
The data is in the public domain see TSL timing website .....pages and pages of it going back years
