Ta Should hopefully fix a few things

For instance, the "I forgot my password" system now works properly and it's been tested by real people who really forgot their password so I should never receive another request for it to be changed every again

Thumbs up

Looks pretty good. One small issue - I keep getting the following error...

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

... when I try to follow the [Read More] link from the homepage:

"Devastating news to you Z nuts but the website will probably be out of action from about midnight tonight till about 4am I should think. I've had a moment of madness and decided that nows... [Read More]"

I think this links to http://www.zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3171

Any ideas?

Mike

BTW like the favicon - never saw that before - is that part of the upgrade too?

DJ: Yes I will do I have plenty of room now for a stunning banner across the top I'll try to sort something asap

Mike: thats a permissions thing that I didn't notice because I'm an admin, I'll sort that by the time you read this The favicon, no I did it ages ago but it only started working a few days back, now it works I'd better do a better one

Anyway please I want criticisms and complaints and suggestions, if everyone says its ok then we won't progress anywhere

Russ,

Permissions now sorted and can view the aforementioned News

Also I think the current Favicon you put in has a rustic charm and simplicity

BTW Does the "Go to First Unread Post" still exist - can't find it anywhere - not sure if that is an issue or not though (might just be because I haven't been into much since the upgrade ...)

One club, All the cars.
across the top
best we can get as no one seems to want to design banner despite repeated requests over the last 18 months

Mike: Yep its the little icon to the left of a posts title that looks like

View First Unread

Just above my first post of this thread and

To the left of the post title when you do a new posts search or are just browsing

Steve: yes bit of a shame but I'll do my worst and yes thanks for the reminder it will be included I need to come up with some good cars pics for the banner, thankfully the gallery is pretty busy these days. Actually I did enough coding yesterday, I think today I'll do something pretty for the banner instead.

The worrying thing is before I updated we had 50 posts a day as a guess, now we are getting 3 or so, hopefully that's just a Christmas thing!

like the archive button at the bottom of the page can all members see it and use it if so might be better towards top of page as it takes some finding when you quickly look in

The archive side of things is really for search engines for when they're trawling the site, I'm trying to get us a bit higher on google with regard to Zs Check out my meta tags in admin -> board options if you like.

I will put an archive button at the top as well though
