It lives on my driveway and I drive it every weekend, rain or shine, and quite often in the evenings. But I have had every square inch of it steam cleaned, then dried with heaters for two days, then dinitrol injected into every panel, chassis member etc, then dinitrol undersealed. On top of that, I give it a good coat of wax about once a month, weather permitting, The aim is to use and enjoy the car rather than just bring it out for shows and on suinny days etc, but I have done all I can to try and fight off any rust issues on the basis of prevention rather than cure. Have had it a year now, and so far so good. Am loving it!

Hi Ian,
I've not been on here for a while so missed your post. I live in Randalstown and have a small collection of Datsuns. Amongst them I have a 74 240Z and a 78 260Z 2+2. A mate of mine in Lisburn also has a 78 260Z 2str. Nice to get together sometime. Nice to see another Z here. There are a few but not too many in NI. Andrew. |

Hi Andrew, good to find some more owners here in NI.
Would be good to have a get together sometime, I'll let you know when I'm home next and see what we can do, unfortunatly my car will be off the road for a while then though, I'm hoping to get the bay and front wheelwheels stripped, media blasted to bare metal and repainted along with fitting my new suspension in two weeks but realistically I can see it taking 3. With me probably only having 5 weeks at home that doesn't leave long but lets see what we can do. |

Love the colour, really suits the body shape.
Wheels look superb, are they 260 or ZX? Steve |

Ever since I decided I wanted a 240/260 I wanted it to be blue, guess I was lucky that one showed up in the right colour. Definitly my favourite colour for them. Wheels are from a 280ZX, I really like them, if only they were bigger. |

Ian, I'm liking the Cusco brace, nice other parts too.
I may have missed this, but what are the plans for the engine, I guess you won't be keeping it stock having seen your driveshafts.... Enjoy
