Really annoys me when I go to a show and someone inevitably says "these were rust buckets weren't they" Having been in the motor trade for over 50 years I can't really think of a car from the 70's that didn't rust

I did that, and Rob has contacted me to say he has been told they are featuring my car next issue - I understand that to be mid October because it comes out every three months? So who knows what is happening? |

280Zs should read 280ZXs - such a common error to call the S130s HLS30s and it annoys me. How can one compare a 2+2 280ZX with possibly an auto box to a 2 seater 260Z ? How about a 2 seater or even turbo version to a 260Z 2+2 and then add the auto box ? Besides, how many cars did they sell of each model which is what it's all about ? Rust is mentioned twice and as almost everyone has mentioned here, ALL cars of that era rusted, yes, even the Bosche : Porkers, Beemers and Pagodas ! As a club, I'd have written back to arrange a test of ALL cars and request (with supporting evidence) an apology or at least a correction. WHO does the clubs' PR these days ? |
