Seatbelt bit missing - anyone got one?

I have got a little bit missing from my passenger side seatbelt holster. It is the silver top cover that is on the bit that you push the seatbelt buckle into, so that it guides into the right slot easily. If you look at the two attached pictures, you can see the silver top in place on the driver's side one, but missing on the passenger side one.

Does anyone out there have this part from a car they are breaking?

Please let me know.

Every time my wife gets into the car (she's not into classics - "these bloody old cars" etc etc) it drives her up the wall trying to find the slot to push the seatbelt into. Got to put a stop to the moaning!

Hi Rob, I might have!

I changed my belts last year as they were worn and had a couple of bits missing and the old ones are in the garage so I will have a look tonight and let you know not sure if they are different though as your car is a little younger than mine, but worth a look.

Sorry Rob, my passenger side is the same, must be a common problem. I had never noticed

Drivers side is OK but I think they are shaped...

To Nigel Brook and IbanezDan51:

If you can check yours out and it looks like my picture, I would be very grateful for it!

Let me know via this thread, and if you have what I want I will PM you my full address and will be happy to pay you for it and cover postage etc.

To JK240: Thanks for looking - are you sure they are different?

I'm not certain, but they are quite shaped. Maybe Mr F might be able to clarify whether they are left and right or just bent over time

I can always send both if you want, don't want any money for them just cover the postage.

Well thanks so much to all who have offered to help. Overwhelmed by this club!

Will wait and see what everyone finds and then, obviously, I just need one of you to send me one. So will await responses then let everyone know what is happening.

Again, many thanks.

I'm pretty sure that this style of seat belt was fitted to the cars once they had arrived in the UK, so they are re-badged UK specification units.
I'm pretty sure that the flexy stalk part is not handed.
I seem to remember that there are two varieties - one with the central tang where the buckle has an open slot to engage, and the other without tang and a closed projection on the buckle. Obviously, the two types are not compatible. Which type you have may depend on the original dealership's supplier and/or year of fitment.

Thanks Mike - but can you not tell which one we are talking about from the photos on my original post?

You can see that your one requires the buckle with the gap - there is a little cross-bar / tang in the middle of the slot.
