I have decided to call my 280 Christine (from stephen king novel) because the amount of pain she has put me through (slicing hand open with 6" grinder trying to remove rear bumper)
anyway, I need a new rear bumper now!

this may be a stupid question but she will not start. the battery has been replaced but when i try to fire her up i hear this clicking sound. is the starter motor knackered or am i missing something else?

Please help!!

Hi Snoopy,
What a great name for your 280! I have a real Christine in my recent past who has done much the same to me!! But I digress. The clicking sound is either the relay or the starter solenoid trying to get things whizzing in your starter motor. So provided all the connections are sound especially the earths, this would point to a knackered starter motor.
Is your bumper an all plastic or a stainless steel/black rubber type? I have both available so just email me if you want to do business
Peter Mac.
Got s/h starters also if you want one.
