Nothing there ? Cable is fine, adjustment nut is at the end and still nothing !
If I use a plier to move the brake lever at the caliper it doesn't even slow down the wheel, what's might be wrong ????

Possibly the caliper piston is seized in the caliper, not cheap.

wouldn't this leave me almost without brakes then:eek: ? Right now the braking with the new pads is quite good :o ? How can one see if the caliper is defective ?

The '82 / '83 280ZX and '84+ Z31 rear calipers are very unreliable. The pivot at the point of entry for the handbrake mechanism has an integral roller bearing which is not available as a service item - this can break up making the handbrake useless. I have a supplier who can refurbish these calipers and I have a pair of 280 versions in stock to operate an exchange service. Refurbished units come with new piston assemblies, all new seals and replated castings - and obviously a remanufactured insertion for the handbrake bearing!

Do you mean that I should send you the old one for a core exchange? BTW how mucho for the calipers?

Late 280ZX calipers are 102 + VAT each exchange. Core charge 45 + VAT, refundable on receipt of rebuildable unit in return.
