Very different. I used to go there ever month in the early eighties and loved every minute. The crawl across the bridge was the best bit. Used to draw massive crounds. Didn't know it was still on.

Bit ridiculous really, those cars need to be on the open road or track.

BORING!

Would sooner it was something you didn't see on Top Gear every week or something that you couldn't just buy your way to.

Maybe I'm envious, I'm sure they're enjoying it

Would you prefer to see them showing off, then crashing, Russ?

Chelsea Cruise, happy days. Punks at one end and Sloanes at the other. I used to hang around there with my mate Nick and assorted gfs or anyone who'd cram into my white beetle. Anyone remember that huge black US hearse with cross sidelights (I mean sidelights in the shape of a cross). This clip claims to be of the 90's - worryingly there's a couple of fleeting glimpses of a white beetle with no front bumper but I'm pretty sure it's not me (my beetle was long gone by the 90's).

And here's another clip but from Top Gear when it was about motoring and not about egos

That end of Kings Road used to be one of my fave nights out. Either the cruise or the pub or the chinky called Ho Lee Fook (never went in, just loved the name) and a cheapo restaurant called Asterix serving Normandy cider and galettes followed by the Rocky Horror Show.

Mumble mumble, yoof of today don't know how to have a good time, in my day could go for fish and chips and a night at the music 'all and still have a farthing's change for t' bus ride 'ome. 'Appen.

Oh and PS, how do you get those bleedin' you tube links to work?

I must be getting old -

All I'm seeing is a complete bunch of rich "Bankers" f***ing about on London streets in cars they bought not built/restored, couldn't they have hired a park park somewhere to pratt about in?

Not sure where the first clip was taken but it doesn't look like the route of the original cruise. Those other clips bring back some good memories though. Real shame it was shut down.

Was not part of any cruise just some think I came across on youtube and would have thought it was around Kensington way
The naming of the thread was just me trying to make some of the more mature people look in at it

Completely agree apart from the banker bit, these are not bankers but a bunch of very wealthy elite pricks that treat London like their playground, while the rest of us get points on our licences for straying slightly over the speed limit. These guys can do what they want and get away with it or not care either way, money talks...
