Useful website for restoration projects.

Was recommemded this place by a local (and very reputable) tuning shop near me. Will give them a go and see what they are like, but looking at the products and prices they seem to have a good selection and reasonably priced

How very cynical .... especially when you haven't even heard of them or even seen their work. Perhaps you should actually get some evidence before jumping to conclusions.

I've used many tuners over the years and have yet to find an actual honest one yet, If they're not just bullshitting bastards they're incompetent, Tuners are only interested in doing as little work as possible for the biggest reward they can con out of you, If by chance you've found the only honest one on the planet good on you .

All joking aside I'm sure their are some good tuners out there somewhere, I'm yet to find one though, I think it's the new breed that's the problem. They think because their can press a few keys on a laptop that it makes them a tuners all of a sudden.

The work they do is pretty impressive and I have spoken to them quite often on some of the stuff they have done in the past. They mainly specialise in 200SX's, Evo's and Skylines. The place they own is just a workshop with an office and restroom, so none of the usual trappings of chavs buying exhuast tips and bling, just pure mechanics. One thing I am always impressed with is I saw someone drive in with a 200SX onto the ramp. He got out walked into the restroom and had a cup of tea, went into the office and payed for a clutch change, then smoked a ciggy and climbed into his car .... all in all took them half an hour to change the entire clutch assembly and that was while the car was hot.

And I can guarantee you they charged him more than half hours labour , I went to one that tried to charge me 4 hours labour for a wheel alignment, But I was upstairs watching them all the time and most of it was spent working on other cars, So I paid them the hour they actually did and never went back again, Another bastard tried to charge me for fitting a waste gate when I had to show the stupid f*cker how to do it and used my own tools .

I most certainly don't trust any so called tuner that works on new cars where most of the tuning is done on a laptop, I'm sorry I just don't trust then at all!.

Well there you go I stand corrected , You appear to of found the only honest tuner on the planet. Well done". .

Dodgy tuners was one of the main reason's I've come back to old skool motors, I can do every single mechanical job myself on older cars .

I agree there are a lot of places that advertise they are experts, where in they are just overgrown fitters. I try and do as much as I can on my own cars as well. However my point of the thread wasn't about the tuner's themselves (hence no mention of name) but more on the website I found recommended by them.

*sigh*

Sorry I have very strong feelings regarding dodgy tuners or any tuners for that matter and get a bit carried away , As for the web site yes its a very good company I've used them myself for a few bits and bobs.

No problems buddy. I know where you are coming from and understand the point you were trying to make.

Neal

P.S. Just ordered some bits and bobs anyway. Stuff which I cannot find anywhere in Norwich it seems.
