Z31 turbo modding

Hi all.
Having succesfully installed a Blitz electronic turbo management unit, aftermarket boost gauge and Bosch fuel pump, the beastie is running better than ever- however she can only put out 5psi without sending the ecu in a fit. I have been told that if we can fit an intercooler and remap the ecu she will be good for 10psi and go like even more stink....
Has anyone fitted an intercooler to a Z31 turbo? Any recommendations as to what unit might fit ro will it be a custom make?!

Many thanks as usual

Steve

Stock ECU can cope with up to 10psi, but you need to modify or replace the pop-off valve on the plenum.
I have a customer working with FC Tuning on a NisTune conversion which, if successful, should solve the lack of programability for the stock ECU. This is well documented elsewhere on the net. You can then move into more boost, bigger injectors etc. (assuming you have a core engine that will cope!).

HI - many thanks to all!

MR F! - the part owe ordered for the rear passenger side link arm turned out to be for the front so need to know the procedure for re-ordering!
Also, I have spoken with my garage and although he spends all day with Silvias and skylines etc, he doesnt know too much about the z31 so any advice regarding plenum modification as per your last post would be gratefully received!
Trying to get her all done up for the show.....

re. links - I'm sure we discussed front links at the time...
I have pattern versions for the rear so no need to order. These are uprated and come in pairs for not too much money!

The plenum mods were done by a customer in Cardiff who followed some data found on the Net. These modded plenums are occasionally offered for sale on eBay too...
I'll try to get the link from him for you.

No worries - I will grab a pair of those then!
RE the plenum mod, I will internet search too, but if the customer can provide any links or useful info, that would save a lot of time.
Many ta's

I have permission to pass on a phone number when I see you, or an offer of an exchange modification if required.
