Z31 turbo manual Speedo HEELP!!

Hey guys

After having collected a new speedo cluster (thanks Quagmire, lovely black z on the drive!!) the garage had just installed it and tells me that there is still no speedo display!
He tells me there is a speed signal coming from the box and has tested the back of both speedo clusters and there is a speed signal being registered there. However, he is not sure what he is meant to be looking for from the negative pole on the cluster.
Can anyone shed any light or give me any ideas where to look? COuld it may be something simple like a fuse problem (although I have checked an reseated them all)

Really trying to get her ready for the lake meet this coming weekend and am stuck!

you either need a speed sensor under the hood by the bettery, or cable or the final piece that goes into the trani its self.

Hiya Steve,,the voltage reading from the sensor on the trans needs to be very close to 0.5 volts AC when rotated quickly,,mine was reading 0.3 and speedo was dead. Replaced and good as new . Dont know if this helps ,but thought i'd let you know ! :driving:
