Where have all the L28 motors gone?

I've been looking for a L28 engine for a couple of months now and am really struggling to find anything at all. (Sean D has suggested buying in from the US)

Has anyone out there got anything secreted in the back of their garage they would consider parting with? (Even a bare block or bottom end would do)
Or are they getting so thin on the ground it would be better to go down the RB route instead?
The RB motors are readily available but full conversions always seem to end up costing far more than initial expectation.
Any thoughts??

L28s - people that have them hold onto them. ;)

Although I do believe Kevin Irons has something like 30-odd engines lying around. If you can get in contact with him, you might be able to find a few!

Alternative (as has been discussed before) - if you find an L26 have it bored out 3mm and fit standard L28 86mm pistons. Bang - L28. L26 crank and rods are same as L28, 83mm bore P30 block has maximum recommended overbore of 3mm. Job jobbed.
