Headlamp cowl is damaged the most and will need straightening, filling and painting. Bonnet is scuffed and cracked at the front corner and will need welding, straightening and painting. Wing should be OK, just adjusted. fiberglass bumper will require a little work and painting.

I was sitting outside a café, looking at my car, when a youngster tried to reverse into a space that wasn't there. He was gutted and very apologetic. He said he would pay for the repair but couldn't afford for it to go through his insurance as he'd only been driving for 8 months. He was only young and I cant see him being able to afford the cost of a full repair so I've not pursued it.

What a fantastic gesture and even better it goes against the modern day trend
It makes me proud to know you

At the end of the day, the car is not immaculate and gets well used and abused. I had considered getting it repainted but then I'd be less inclined to use it as much as I do if it was immaculate. It is a shame about the damage and I will get it straight but probable try to limit the paintwork as much as possible so it doesn't show up the rest of the car.

The fact is Jon why should you have to pay for it out of your own pocket,to the average earner at work it could cost the equivelant of two or more weeks wages,That’s like asking someone to work for nothing for 2 weeks plus,

In this case it is called personal choice
Jon has the right to get the other party to pay for it and for him to decide not to use that right in this case is IMHO breath of fresh air

I hope if it was a young kid who had just passed his test and he admitted to doing it and He was gutted and very apologetic. and said he would pay for the repair but couldn't afford for it to go through his insurance as he'd only been driving for 8 months and I was in the position that i could do most of the work myself that I would be a big enough man to do the same as John has done

Some Christmas baubles?

Just realised that with a green stripe the Samuri colour-scheme would be very festive!

Yes, engine internals.
No xmas baubles.
Sort of money. But the opposite.
Here’s a clue:
