Ns2's,RSR,AD08. These are the semi Skimmed Track tyres.

Buy these and watch people drive around you with there full fat 888R's ;)

If you want to go fast, buy the best tyres.
You wouldn't put 95octane in your new engine you had built to go fast would you?

48R's are now 1C listed, so not road legal.

We use (we have to as its a control tyre) Pirelli Trofeo R's on the race car
World class tyre MSA list B, road legal but not cheap (few good things are)
Does a 57.1 lap around Brands (quicker than those running R888's :p)

To summarise the options and a price guide for a 205/50x15", these are the ones I have found:

Federal 595 RS-R £87
Nankang AR-1 £101
Toyo R888R £115
Toyo R888 £129 (225's)
Dunlop DZ03G £140
Maxsport RB5 £85
Kumho V70a £140
Pirelli Trofeo R £222
Nankang NS2R £65 (195 competition compound)

I'm sure there may be others but this is the ones I could find.

The silver car needs to retain it's dailey driver use but I would like to take it on track every now and then. I was tempted to buy some track tyre's to only fit when I intend to go on track but the problem is they will not get used enough and go off before they are worn out.

I do like the aggressive look of the Nankang AR-1 and can get them in 185/60x14" to fit my existing 14x5" steels (which I like the look of).

I'm running 14x5" on the silver car which is the one I'm looking at tyre options for. For the blue car I will stick with R888r's as I'm used to them.
