Are these part's critical on the steering rack, no's 26-27? ( or is is it just to position the steering rack ) only I'm not sure if the one on my steering rack is in the same position as the one in the work shop manual. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I believe they're there to stop the rack rotating in use, so if the steering works ok and the stopper isn't against the subframe, maybe rotate the u clamp round so it is.
