So it is..... BUT its under D for Datsun Z Club.
thats not who we are.:conf2: we are Zclub.

Looks like we might have an identity crisis too on our hands. LOL!!!

I spoke to practical classics to get the telephone number changed and they said we could not go under Z but had to go under the car make and we couldn't have two entries (i.e. D and N)

They wanted it under D for Datsun being as they were a "Classic" car mag, I wanted it under N (but saying that it would have been wrong as well) so the magazine won and put it under D - Not sure what else I could have done!

By the way we do not have a press officer to keep on top of car magazine listings etc etc at present but I believe someone has expressed an interest in the role

STILL we have declining numbers.

fully paid members have been around the 500-450 mark for about 2/3 years - that is a decline from when the club was at it's strongest (I don't know for sure but think that was about 650) but does seem to have levelled out, this isn't to say we don't need new members and should not be more proactive in that direction

Getting back on topic.
Is anyone interested in taking over the South Central Local Group????
After all Nick's hard work it is a shame that non of the members in the south area feel that they could take the role on.

Sorry to hear that you are standing down as you have done a grand job!

Sorry also not to have supported more events but the Z is not very road friendly these days and there always seemed to be date clashes or we are just knackered! It's an age thing!

The family must be taking much more of your time - you will be a Z local area of your own soon!

Best wishes

I'm not yet a paid up member ICU812(Keith) however once I am I'll be more than willing to help out if that means filling in as south central REO because no one else is available then count me in.

Of course I'll first have to pay up

and secondly declare I'm already a National Event Organiser for another club.

But if that doesn't disqualify me then okay I'm in.

Hi,

To most people Datsun means Rust, Taxis, Bluebirds and Rust!

Ahem, the majority of Bluebirds today are Nissan, not Datsun, from the U11 in 1983 to the U14 of the Jap market until 2001. (unfortunately we got the Primera in replacement over here. )
The U series ended here in 1984 to be replaced by the T series B'Birds, which then made way for the aforementioned Primera in 1991.

The last Datsun Bluebird model was the 910, which was initially badged as Datsun, and later as "datsun Bluebird, by Nissan" towards the end of the series. However, most of the Datsun Bluebirds were known by their number, 210-910, or 180B, 200B etc.

I'm not passionate about the subject or anything, :conf2: , and this is not really the place to go on,

So, would anyone like to take over the role of SCREO?

Oh, and if anyone can find me a minter 810, I'd be well happy.

I would like a 510, a 710sss and best of all a KPGC10 Skyline!
Even though, I have an N12 turbo, S12 turbo, 260Z 2 seater TT, an EP3 Civic type R, a Kawasaki 750 Zephyr and a Suzuki GT750A.
Not that I am greedy!!!
Mark.
