So Sean, you have all the tricks, gear ratios, tyre info, weight tips, hp required and so on.

May as well drive it for you now.
Realistically my big worry is if Johnny "the dog" Mason comes out:bow:...he is a first class 1/4 miler....I know you could always get him to drive your car:thumbs:.

Anyway...some trick bits you *will *need.
Quaife ATB.....much much much better than a pre jurassic plate jobbie (remember a new plate set costs £400)
Sequential shifter...shave those tenths off
Custom CV joints and drive shafts built by Elite racing transmissions, cut that rotating mass and dont get caught out by drive shaft compression

Oh nearly forgot, a cold air induction kit by MJP Easter Auto, worked wonders for me and Johnny...featured on all the best cars don't ya know

I don't want you driving my wonder smeg-mobile................and taking all the glory.

Stick with your million-pound WOODen toy-car (apart from the bendy plastic roof - sort of Lesney meets Hong Kong), lie in bed and think is he really serious.:driving:

Why not do an aggregate time of a drag, a sprint & a hillclimb? Now that would be interesting.;)

wash your mouth out and issue an immediate unreserved apology.

This has been suggested before but sprints and hills are not for this club. One member even accepted a challenge that if my wife came up to a drag event then they would come and do a hill climb but the hill still waits.

I like your thinking though, have a sort of speed event series that runs through the season. We could include Autotests and even have a handicap system to allow standard road going cars to compete on a par with the modified stuff

I am sure that I will wake up in a little while and find I have dreamt this

Sean and Steve (re - PMs) , this is getting like a playground squabble. :smash:

None of us are taking it seriously and neither should you. I'm certainly not judging people's engine building capabilities on the contents of this thread!

Sean, perhaps the Thread should now be closed or even deleted and forgotten about.

Rob - if you're referring to the almost equal amount of PM and telephone calls that this PUBLIC debate has spurned - I regret that it was seen to have copied you and ....... private messages are such as Skiddy was right to remind me earlier in this thread and I deleted something copied.

I'm taking it seriously as you will when I whup his arse next year !

Shame. This is quite a good thread. We haven't had a "my car's better than your car" thread in ages (or at all). Can't believe anyone will of taken any of it really seriously. I need a new keyboard. I'm having to bash the keys around the enter button (I think the littl'un's got juice in it. It's sticky and smells nice).

That's a shame 'cos look what I've found rummaging.............

No stranger am I to waiting in line for an hour, pushing one's car along to keep it cool ;)

This was back in '92 I think when Steve was still posing in his company XR2i.

Always keep your cool 'Skiddy the man' said and I listen.

Sorry to thread hijack but Sean your old green car was gorgeous, what was the history behind it, when did you get it, what happened to it? Please feel free to PM me or even better start up a new thread with photos! Merci.
