Silverstone Classic - 50th Anniversary Meet - 26-28th July

Thanks Paul, some good pictures there. I have to say that the parade lap was a big disappointment as far as pace is concerned. I'm not looking for race pace but at least 40 mph! At Spa or Le Mans it's so much better.

It was a bit stop start but those toward the back created gaps and had a lot of fun by all accounts!

Awesome time, great to see peeps again, plus meet new faces. The whole weekend was fantastic, lots of ideas for my Z, great cars, great people, a few beers and lots of banter.. What more could one ask for... a bit of sun maybe and a dry campsite ... Can't have it all.

The parade lap was far from spritely at the back. I was the very last car after nearly missing out. I never made it out of first and most of it was crawling along on tickover. Pretty much queued for the exit soon after joining the track. Tried to hang back but with the pace car right behind me it was not possible. There must have been a good few hundred cars on track as it took nearly half hour to get everyone out there.

Despite this it was another great event.

Yes definitely, surely one day they'll catch up with what seems to be the general view that most want to pick up a little pace, nothing manic. I'm guessing only when numbers fall will it be considered and or an alternative offered
