Hi all
Has anyone tried to repair a rubber weather seal, if so what adhesive did you use and how well did the repair work out?
I've given up searching for a new/usable rear hatch glass seal for my 2str 280ZX, so left with the only option of trying to repair two knackered ones to make a good one. Just need to know if this is at all possible and the best type of glue to use so I don't mess up the seals any further. I found a website selling repair adhesive for diving suites, but it was a bit pricy just to 'experiment' with.
I have also looked at trying to get them remanufactured, but the cost for making one is probably more than the finished car will end up being worth. Plus I don't have a good example to use and a pattern..........
Any advice gratefully received.
