The Datsun has been sat in the garage since May last year I have had no time to finish it off due to a heavy work load so it's been moved next month up to Warrington to AC Speedtech to be finished off, if it all goes to plan I should have it back for Japfest.

Dave, that is quite a sad post. The conversion seems to have 'ground you down' but you must be so close to getting the car on the road. I honestly and genuinely hope that you make Japfest and are able to show off your superb workmanship and commitment.

You deserve to be behind the wheel of your Z soon.

Its nothing to do with the conversion sometimes you have to step away from projects and see what's important in your life and that's my 15 year old son he not been well since the age of 10 with ME.

Hopefully he's on the road to getting better.

I would give all I own (house , cars , motorbikes) to see him well again.

Yes Dave I know mate. All I can say to help is that the people I have known who have had ME have got better.

Fingers crossed there's no more drama. Hopefully looking forward to convoying to Japfest this time! Although my car will look like an antiquated heap next to yours!

OK were do i start had a fuel leak thats now sorted, AFM problem now fixed, its up and running again after having to drop all the old fuel out from the tank and again a new set of plugs.

Its been driven around the block under its own power we now have a small problem with the clutch (might just need a adjustment)

Not been on the Rolling Road yet.

It looked like I had a problem with the engine when its warm Andy could hear a noise coming from the front of the engine, it's turned out to be the alloy rad when it's hot it's trying to expand and making some strange sounds, it's going to be mounted on some rubber spacers so it can move.

But I do have a problem with one of the brand new Nismo AFM and am trying to find a new replacement before next weekend.

After 2 days of emails and phone call it looks like I have bought the worlds most expensive single Nismo AFM but it's in stock in the UK and will be at the Warrington workshop tomorrow so it game on to get the car finished and sort out a MOT.
