....Do you have any idea what spring rates I should go for? .....

For a road car with occasional track work I'd say 225lb. I did quite a lot of track work and gradually increased mine from 160 to 250 all round.

I know some guys on here will suggest stronger springs but I never felt the need for them.

Sorry for my late reply I've been busy recently! I've started polybushing components so that decision is made! I'm still unsure on the coilover path though it seems to take some originality away. The air ride option is something I've also been interested in but again makes the car very unoriginal!

Air suspension - I had thought about this after watch the "Fast and Loud" GT40 last week that ran on air. Go on, be the first...............oh no, I think its already been done to a 240.


I'm friends with a lad on facebook and he has fitted air ride / banded steels / Rhd conversion and 328i bmw engine since last October !!
