Lovely.

The over-riders spoil the clean lines though - they are huge. They even look like they have been extended with a piece on top.

Yep I totally agree, however stock as the car was originally from california. They dont look so bad in the flesh!

Looks lovely in Red, is that a T5 or T6 ?

No I had to sell it a few years back after I got made redundant,

Still regret it now though

It was a T6 car, 30k or so miles on it.
Shame, they are really picking up pace in value terms, it looks great however, sits very nice

Both cars IMO are awesome and like the S30 (240/260) are a true classic. So much so that I asked my wife (a VW K.G. fan) to come and have a look - she agreed

She also asked 'where is that Lighthouse'?

that looks at lot like my old car !

same wheels, same height and narrowed front beam, and I remember it being stripped and painted with grey primer a couple of owners after me,

does it have a brown and cream interior ? and newish floor pans ?

cant remember the reg off hand but I still have the old US licence plate stuck on my roll cab

One of my best friends restores 911s of that era professionally, had lots of cover cars in the glossies. Some of them extremely rare. It's quite a treat to pop to his work and see them all in various states.

Finally got round to starting some work on the car.

Still waiting for a few bits to arrive, a seal kit for one as the front windscreen seal leaks, and to also tidy up the car all round. It is missing the front and rear chrome trims however.

Ordering parts from america at the moment seem to be taking their time, currently waiting on engine service parts like leads (as i hate yellow) etc

In the mean time, we removed the bonnet and radiator, the radiator needed de-clogging but also for this engine the inlet moving to the passenger size and also enlarging. The previous owners attempts of 4 pipes cobbled together was leaking had no support and looked ****. At least now a single pipe can be used on both sides of the radiator.

As you can see from the photos the wiring is a mess, and that is next on the list to sort. Along with the oil cooler, it doesnt leak but looks **** and i expect the lines will fail at somepoint!

Apologies for being distant with the updates!

So my electrical friend popped round and sorted the wiring gremlins out.
Unfortunately changed my phone so i have lost a few photos

Most of the car is now complete, the rear light clusters were completely stripped down as the contacts where causing the ligths to be fairly dim.

The engine bay is now looking less yellow and alot tidier.

Started on the guts of the rear end, alot of the suspension bolts were loose, addressed any corrosion starting and fitted the new GAZ coilovers to the rear.

Fired it up and drove up the road, at least it works and the gearbox shifts!
Its never going to superfast but it is hilarious to drive at the same time, next is tuning up the engine as currently its running extremely rich
