Can someone recommend which engine oil, gear oil and rear diff oil I should use for my 1972 240Z and how much of each I will need? Thanks

i did some research on this recently and this is generally wat i found.
engine oil commonly used seems to be a 10/40 semi synthetic or 20/50 millers oil
gearbox GL4 only gear oil
rear diff GL5 gear oil.

all seems to depend on your cars mod and wear state.

im using 15/40 semi synthetic engine oil
in my gearbox im using 75/90 ep gear oil that says on the bottle suitable for GL4 applications
and i havent got around to doing the diff yet but i will probably use the same as the gearbox oil unless some one recomends something better.

Agreed,

GL4 gear oil 75w90 for gearbox, not the GL5 stuff that is labelled as GL4 compatible as it can still negatively affect the syncro operation

GL4 EP (not all GL4 is necessarily EP) or better GL5 75w90 for the diff, all GL5 appears to be EP anyway, thats Extreme Pressure by the way :)

L24 engine uses 4.7 litres of oil
L26 is 5.1 litres

Gearbox is 1.5 to 1.7 litres depending on gearbox type

Diff is 1 litre
