Welded arches back together, as they had no rot on them, and I am flaring them underneath for riveted arches ontop.

If your fitting riveted arches (and this is probably a good candidate for them) then you need to cut those arches off entirely so welding them on was a bit of a waste. Ideally you need to get the bolt on arches before you mark out where to cut the metalwork. There are lots of good youtube vid to see how it should be done.

I understand how they need to be fitted, but they might be able to have the lip rolled then flared upwards to retain strength.

Hi Don you could fit some of these ,won't need to cut your new welded arches you could start a new thread .Im sure there would be a lot of interest :roll eyes::lol::lol::lol:

Test fitting wheels with rear arches today.

Might leave as is or might set it up with a max of 20mm spacer at the rear.

Plenty of arch clearance though.

Don't let this car down by skimping on the engine bay ... don't put all that old ***** back in - restore it and get it looking nice again!

Everything in the engine bay that is replaceable will be new as I have already bought it.

New clutch and brake cylinders, all new hoses, all new clutch/brake lines .etc..

Many parts have already been polished.
