Thanks for your input, Ok, Ive just purchased a mig as ive got a MK2 jag that i am going to sell and it needs a couple of small dead easy welding jobs. My plan for the ZX now is to repair the O/S/R chassis leg, N/S sill and a little patch on the O/S/F inner wing, Dress up some of the previous welding and put it in for an MOT, The cars insured so i'll tax it and smoke around in it for 6 months and see how i get on with it. I know im going to love it as i do now with it just sitting there! And being me it will end up having a full structural rebuild over next winter providing things dont change for me as ive just had a serious cancer scare and also ive got plenty of time to source the panels etc that it is going to need. Sean on here has recommended an Ace restorer in France and i'm pretty certain that if i go ahead with it the cars going there to be done properly. I don't really care about what the cars worth long term, A ZX will never fetch Z money but i know if it's rebuilt i'll want to keep it and it really did'nt cost me a lot in the first place, I'm really looking forward to getting to know this car more!
