Phil.e, but there you have the filter bowl over the exhaust and no return flow for fuel - yes it's neat but is it more effective at fuel cooling that what Phil H already has?

I'm thinking that Phil H does 1/4 miles and stands at starts for a while.

Hi Rob
" Is it more effective at fuel cooling than what Phil H already has?" Without measuring fuel temp' I really don't know. However, running 1/4 mile's on warm days has presented no problems whatsoever(low 14's L24 block) possibly due to the distance from the radiant heat source? possibly not.

For what it's worth, here's mine, Red Top at the back, Filter King on inner wing near mount for OEM fuel filter so it gets a blast of cold air from the hole in the rad support panel, fuel pipe then goes down and back along chassis rail, up and behind brake servo across the bulkhead to carbs.

However, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Filter King should be placed as close as possible to the first carb, as in phil.e's pic, I havent and as yet have had no issues with it.
