Dave, they look good, are they leather?

I have original seats but the covering is so old it gets damaged very easily - it seems to have gone soft.

Yeah they're leather, was only an extra £70 or so to have it over vinyl. They worked out at 360, posted and with the import duty paid, and you can pick the colour of the logo (can be done plain) and stitching

I'm guessing they are the ones off eBay that can be ordered either in vinyl or real leather, with different colour stitching and emblem designs. They've been available for ages - you lot who don't live on eBay, I don't know...

Yeah, they were off eBay, fitted up one seat and am really chuffed with them, i'll post a pic once the hog rings and pliers I've ordered turn up so I can pull them tight round the bottom and re assemble the seat. Did bit more stripping yesterday, found a little rot along the seam under the door seals, along the top of the sills, but the sills themselves (shockingly) seem solid under where the dodgy (aftermarket?) alloy trims were riveted the full length of them

A link would be nice. Your right I don't live on eBay however I do look at s30 stuff quite a bit and can't say I have come across them.

Sorry, I was being a bit lazy, not deliberately unhelpful!

Dave B has done the good deed though.

They do them in "synthetic leather" for a bit less too. You can choose the stitching colour and from several headrest logo designs. I considered these at one point as they do the JDM "Fairlady Z" logo as an option.

Had a spare afternoon so thought I'd best get stuck in and be 'roofless'

Must take some mega patience to get a skin off to reuse on another car, hardest part was melting lead joints with hot air gun, suspect a blowtorch would've been loads quicker but I haven't got one lol

That's some build I was going to go with a carbon roof initially, but talked myself out of it as the car is going to be bright orange and think having the roof a different colour would spoil the curves with it relying on the roof shape so much for its looks. I'm normally a sucker for carbon, it'll certainly have a couple bits on when done.

I know what you mean Dave. If I could find a steel roof skin then I think that's the way I would go. Until then I will go the blended in carbon look or maybe just paint the whole roof.

PS. My favorite spoiler shape too.
